Most Anticipated Movies of 2015 (in no particular order)
- Brooklyn
- Carol
- Joy
- Jurassic World
- Insurgent
- In the Heart of the Sea
- While We’re Young – Not a very good movie
- The Revenant
- The Martian
- Sicario
- 99 Homes
- Burnt – surprisingly good…not quite as good as 2014’s Chef, but definitely worth a watch
- Sisters – very average
- Room
- Steve Jobs
- Southpaw
- Suffragette
- Everest
- Trumbo – overrated…this was a pretty boring movie
- Love & Mercy
- Shelter – Had promise because of the actors and the tone, but this was a boring movie that failed in all regards
- Inside Out – Best Pixar movie I’ve seen in years…also the only Pixar movie I’ve seen in years…nonetheless, it’s a darn good movie
- The Danish Girl
- The Gift
- Spotlight
- Black Sea – Great flick…Jude Law’s finest performance in years
- Anomalisa
- Concussion
- I Smile Back
- Black Mass
- Bridge of Spies
- No Escape
- The Big Short
- Creed
- Pawn Sacrifice – Average
- Backcountry – Meh…basically Open Water (which I really liked) with a bear instead of a shark
- Sleeping With Other People
- Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
- By the Sea – Not awful, but many will find it incredibly boring
- 45 Years
- Beasts of No Nation – Good stuff…still processing…might be processing for a while
- The Hateful Eight – Couldn’t make it past the first 40 minutes…hearing the “N” word over and over and over isn’t for me
- Time Out of Mind – Watching parading NYC while masquerading as a homeless person for two hours was far less entertaining than watching a random homeless person take a nap on a bench in Central Park for two hours. One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen.
- Crimson Peak
- Mockingjay Part 2 – What a waste. The last book should never have been split into two movies. This lackluster attempt ruined the franchise for me.
- The Walk
- Trainwreck
- Ant Man
- Secret in their Eyes
